TEXT: PS.71:14, DAN.3:17
That I am a child of God or I am a God fearing Christian, doesn’t mean I will not have any challenges. That I am a good praiser doesn’t guarantee the devil will not pitch his tent in order to cause confusion, discouragement and make you lose courage in God. Joshua told the children of Israel in Joshua 1:9 that “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest”
Didn’t the Israelites know that God was with them before? The devil certainly knew that victory was sure for them. That was why he always suggested in their mind to murmur against God. And as long as God is angry with them, they will not get to the promise land. Ex.16:2, 3. David in psalms 71:14 said whether God hears the prayer or not, he will yet praise the Lord. The three Hebrews confronted the king and replied his question instantly and I quote. Dan.3:17&18 “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O King.
Don’t give the Lord that mind that you are saved for the benefits you want to derive, but give Him that assurance that you will praise Him in any circumstances.
PRAYERS :
Lord, I want to say ‘Thank You for loving me’. Worship God recklessly over that odd situation. Hand over that challenge into His hand.
Tell God, you will yet Praise Him no matter the circumstances.
