1John 4:7-9 ” Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and wherever love has been born of God and knows God, because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that we might live through Him. “
Friends, we are commanded to love one another if we will live through Christ. Love is not an option; love is not something we can decide if we will do or not. We are commanded to do it. The reason we must love one another is because love is God. Real love has its source in God. We only know true love by understanding God because He is the source of love. Love is not natural nor innate, love comes from God. God shows us what love is and what love looks like. If you know God then you know how to love others. Our love for others is absolutely essential. We cannot be what God intends for us to be without it. Our love for one another is what affects our Co-operate maturity. It affects our Spiritual growth. HOW DO WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER? By serving and forgiving others. We can be healed and receive the strength to overcome our own challenges when we walk in real love. The Portrait of God kind of love is in 1Cor 13:1-7 It is not boastful, it does not seek his own good. This love is Patient with others. There is room to fall and rise without pretense. It does not keep records of wrongs done. It does not demand having its own way. Till we love like this without any condition attached, all that we do for God is a waste.
PRAYER POINTS
Appreciate God for who He is.
Ask for the Forgiveness of your sin.
Father help me to speak no evil towards my brothers and sisters.
Help me show more love and concern towards the lost and the confused.
Oh Lord teach Christlike Assembly to love one another as you love us.
Help Your daughter Rev. Mrs. Odunayo Joshua Ketiku and her children to love You more, and love everyone that comes across them in Jesus name
