“So I’m asking you to give me the hill country that the LORD promised me. You will remember that as scouts we found the Anakites living there in great, walled cities. But if the LORD is with me, I will drive them out of the land, just as the LORD said.” (NLT)
To be determined is to ascertain definitely. It is a definite conclusion, resoluteness. As lubricating oil keeps an engine from frictions so is determination to faith. From the scripture above you will note that Caleb was resolute about taking up his inheritance which the Lord gave him, giants notwithstanding.
Determination helps you to see beyond obstacle. It promotes readiness of heart to pay the price. It makes you go extra miles where others back out. Determination drives you on when it’s like nothing else works. Be determined to know and obey the Word of God. Be determined to seek God until He intervenes in your matter.
In John 4.34 Then Jesus said: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work”. (NLT). That is determination at work in our Lord Jesus Christ. Be determined to work on yourself. Be determined to see the Word of God come to pass in your life. See it being fulfilled in your life. That was the vision of Caleb. He decided not to settle for anything less than God’s promise no matter what. The three Hebrews were determined not to compromise the standard of God no matter the threat to their souls. God is expecting your own decisions to be determined.
PRAYER POINTS
Thank You Lord for Your plan and purpose for my life. Holy Spirit, inspire in me strong will for the Lord to be able to take right decisions. Holy Spirit help me to be focused so as not to give in to distraction or distractors. Uphold Christlike ministries to stand for the truth that You have revealed to us through Your Word and Your Servant. Uphold Your daughter in her determination to always walk in the will of God for her life and for the ministry.
