Jesus said to the people, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (NLT)
The Word as in person of Jesus Christ or the written Word as in the Bible is light and life. John.1.4 “Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. (NLT)” that was the person of Jesus and in Ps.119.105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path (NLT).” The written word is described as light for our path. In the physical, we all know how important light is to our existence and how grievous it is to go about in darkness. All truths are parallel. As it is in the physical, so it is in the Spiritual. In the Spiritual, “when you don’t have the person of Jesus in your life or allow the written word of God to regulate your life, you go about in darkness. By implication you will not find your way. You will stumble and collide with several objects along the way and how on Earth would you get to your destination? Since the Word of God is light, it makes you see things as they really are and save you from messing up your life. It leads you to your destination in marriage, health, business, safety and relationship. You are encouraged therefore to connect yourself to Jesus by believing in the finished work of Calvary and allow the written word of God to rule your daily affairs. You will automatically enjoy light and life.
PRAYER POINTS.
Thank You Lord Jesus that You gave Yourself for me, by taking my place on the cross. Holy Spirit reveal more of the person of Jesus to me. Give me the revelation of the written Word of God. Lead me to give myself wholly to Jesus Christ and to the written Word of God in the order of Caleb and Joshua. Bring Christlike ministry deeper in Your love and purpose. I declare more of Jesus in the life of His servant and more understanding of God’s Word.
