SCRIPTURE: Act 16: 25-26
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God and the prisoners heard them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed”.
Do you know that praise and thanksgiving is the highest form of prayer and worship you can give to God that makes Him to act fast in your case? This was exactly the experience of Paul and silas Acts16: 22-26. They were thrown into the prison after they had received severe beating from their jailer. They should actually be bitter with God because they were beaten for the cause of the Kingdom. They, however looked away from their pains and predicament and earnestly praised the Almighty. As they engaged this weapon, God miraculously set them free by losing their bounds and opening the prison doors through an earthquake that shook the foundations of the prison and broke their chains. Praise turns your battle over to God 2Chronicles 20: 22-23. It helps you to depend totally on God and shift your focus from your problem. It is a two-edged sword and a dangerous weapon in the hand of a believer.
