SCRIPTURE: James 4:10
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up”.To be humble means not proud or haughty, lack of arrogance. It is to surrender to God’s will and obey all His instructions and that of His servant. It is to die to self and to submit oneself totally to the service of Gods work. Humility is the fear of the Lord which begins from the heart. When you are humble, you get off the throne of your heart and allow God to sit. Your Humility is having a right view of God’s sovereignty and seeing yourself as God sees you. Nothing more. It is giving God all the glory and praise for every ability that He has allowed you to have. Remember that your relationship with Him through His word will help you to be humble and to serve Him 1 peter 2:9. Benefits of Humility; 1) He gives more grace to you James4:6 and removes disgrace and shame. Your life will begin to attract favour Prov 11:2.
2) You will enjoy rest of mind and forgiveness of sins 2Chro 7:14.
3) Humility will deliver you in the day of trouble.
4) Humility makes you to be modest in your pursuit, character and in your way of life.
PRAYER POINTS
Praise God for His everlasting love over you and your household. Judge the spirit of pride in your life and ask God to lift you up as you humble yourself in obedience to His Words. Lord, help our mama to walk in humility of heart before God at all times.
