CELEBRATE YOUR PASTOR

30TH MARCH.

SCRIPTURE: Jer 3:15 “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding”.Your pastor is the spiritual set man/woman that God has placed over you. Pastors live sacrificial lives and work tirelessly to support the congregation. They are charged with the responsibility of organizing and conducting Worship services. They also carry out other programs aside church activities like weddings, and offer counselling sessions, hospital visits, baptisms, and much more. Some of the roles of pastors includes: Caring and feeding of the flocks with spiritual food. He or She studies the Word, rightly divide it, preach it and teach it. She/ he prays and fast for the growth of the church and the members. With all these huge assignments, there is the need to celebrate our pastors, they deserve our appreciation. How to celebrate Your pastor;

1) Minister to the need of your pastor in cash and in kind not only during birthday or occasional celebrations. 2)Celebrate your pastor with words of encouragement which goes a long way to build confidence, motivation and inspiration. 3) Celebrate your pastor with simple thank you from the heart to let them know they are impacting. 4) Celebrate your pastor by dedicating a time of prayer for him or her and for the progress of the ministry. 5) Don’t Speak evil of your Pastor when she / he makes mistakes. They are still human. It’s only in The Christian Army that wounded soldiers are left uncared for. We must not join that company. We must celebrate our own even in their weakness.

PRAYERS POINTS: Thank God for the life of your pastor and the ministry that God has committed into her hands. Pray that God will renew the strength of your pastor to be able to lead the flocks to the promised land. Ask for more unction to function for her that she will not grow weary in the work of the Ministry. Pray that God will not leave her nor forsake her and that she will not be put to shame in time and eternity.
