31ST MARCH
SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 13:15 “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. “A sacrifice is something precious, expensive and special to you, that you only give to your God. Who performs sacrifice? The priest. The primary role of a priest is to offer sacrifices,1Pet 2:5. “We are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable unto God”. In the scripture above, we are encouraged to continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to our God which is the new way the death of our Lord Jesus brought to us. This is totally different from the sacrifice of bulls and doves. Hosea14:2. Praise is thanking God for who He is, what He has done, what He is doing and for what He will yet do. We must know that sacrifice of praise which is the fruit of our lips given to God from a true and sincere heart is precious to God. Either it is convenient or not, we are mandated to praise Him because for this purpose He created us. Our worship to Him must be done in spirit and in truth John 4:24. Let us therefore as a believer and the priest of the Most High do everything possible to live in this consciousness of praising God as we stand the chance of experiencing more of Him in our lives. 1 Pet 2: 9. In fact it is a must for every believer who wants to touch God ‘s heart.
