TEXT:
Ps.119.105 – (NUN). “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”.
God’s Word is described here as a lamp, a light that illuminates darkness. The World lies in darkness, only the Word of God can give us light. To overcome the darkness of this World, we need the Word of God to open our Spiritual eyes, Ps.119.130 says – “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple”. We cannot move fast in the dark until there is light. We move faster with the presence of light and see whatsoever we need to see. In Heb.4.12 – “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit”. The Word of God can see what is in the heart of men and reveal it to His children.
Keys to being Lightened by His word;
1) You must know Jesus because He is the Word. John 1:1-5.
2) You Must have a Relationship with the Holy Ghost because He is The One that brings Light into the Word. He is the Spirit of Revelation.
3) Read the Word of God. Josh 1:8.
4) Meditate on the Word of God josh 1:8.
PRAYER POINTS
Worship and praise God for His love to you, your family and Christlike Assembly. Thank God for His faithfulness and mercy. Ask for forgiveness in any way you have sinned against Him.
O Lord, lighten my life and my family. Lord give me the grace to discipline myself to read and meditate on Your word.
Every form of darkness in Christlike family, disappear by the Word of God as we read and meditate.
