SCRIPTURE:
Psalms 37:5 “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass”
To be committed is to Walk the Talk. It means to be Resolute about living what we believe. It means that we walk daily the Christian walk and behave as Christ would have us to walk. God requires total commitment from us. Our commitment to honor God, obey Him serve Him, do the right things at the right time in the right way cannot be over emphasized. Romans 12:1. As Christians, we have to be committed to the church, our assignments and God's Purpose for our lives. In Daniel 3, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego stood by their principles even though it seemed apparently that to do that would cost them their lives from the hands of King Nebuchadnezzar. Our commitment to God must show in our individual behavior, personal integrity, in our loyalty to people and our family. We must uphold the principles of God and live a life of integrity and faith in our homes, work place, and in all places we go so that we can influence other people positively for God. We must also have a strong desire to be committed to God's Word, obey and believe Him regardless of what others have decided. Benefits of commitment:
1). It enables you to demonstrate your love to Christ Rom 6:23.
2). It enables you to live an abundant life John 10:10. It enables you to walk in the purpose of God for your life 2Tim 1:9 -It enables you to give all glory to God Eph 1. 3-14. You will enjoy true reward of commitment Heb. 6:10.
