TEXT: ROMAN 8:28
God works for our good, in all things. It means that no matter the circumstances, God will work through it and the result will be good. Relax, it will all be worked upon for your good. In that test of faith are testimonies. However, there are only two factors that will make God work all things together for our good.
** First, He works for “the good of those who love Him”. If you love God, you can trust that He is working for your good. He loved us first and demands we love Him in return and also love people. Secondly, He works for those who are called according to His purpose. Do you realize that following God entails submitting to His purpose for you? We have been called by him for a purpose that He has for our lives. Being called according to God’s purpose means we are called to further His purpose through us. Our anchor scripture greatly encourages us as children of God that we must endure suffering in this life. God will bring good out of all afflictions, trials, persecution and suffering.
One of the good that God wants to bring out of our affliction is that of conforming us to the image of Christ and ultimately, brings about our glorification. “All things” do not include our sins and negligence. No one can excuse sin by maintaining that God will work it out for good. God has made the promise for believers who are living for Christ and not those who claim to believe in God but are living like the devil.
PRAYERS :
God I thank you for Your faithfulness. Give me the grace to stand firm in you. Let everything work for my good in Jesus’ name. Christlike assembly, all things shall work together for your good in Jesus name. Amen.
