SCRIPTURE: Luke 6:38
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”
Giving is one of God’s attributes that must be a lifestyle of every believer. Our God is a giving God. He gave us our Lord Jesus Christ to die for humanity John3:16. As His children, we must strive to reflect this attribute. Giving is God’s commandment. It expresses our trust in God. It also shows that we love Him. Someone with a giving heart sees need and finds a way to be a blessing. What do you give? You can give your time, talent, words of encouragement. You can give money. As a matter of fact, giving is a laid down rule for financial strength. The bible says in Proverbs 11:24a “There is he that scattereth, but yet increase strength.” Giving is a natural law that works for anyone who practices it. Giving increases your financial capability. It increases your circle of influence. Giving advances the Kingdom and you will be loved by many. When you give, give freely, give sacrificially. No seed is too big or small to give to the Lord but it must be from a willing heart not under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. 2Corin 9:7.
PRAYER POINTS
Thank God for being generous to us. Repent of every act of stinginess. Pray that all of us in Christ-like Assembly will be ardent givers to the work of God and to humanity in Jesus name. Amen
