DECEMBER 13TH
TEXT: PS.100: 4, REV.11:16-17, REV.14:1-5.
Praise; the melting honey, which soften God’s heart. Praise causes God to change His mind on any difficult matter.
Tell me a situation that prayers cannot surmount and I will show the most difficult situation that praise has brought low. Joshua 6:1-20. Jericho, according to history was the most fortified city of its time, as a matter of fact, it took years to build it to satisfaction. No enemy could enter the city as long as the gate remains shut, that was why the king of Jericho was looking at Joshua and the children of Israel when they were matching round the city like a fool. He was probably laughing at them.
The Bible says in vs 20..…”and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat”. A very great harmonious shout of praise brought down a fortified wall of Jericho that no missile could even bring down. God responded to high praise.
For you to have access to the heart of God, you have to be a praiser. Ps.100:4. David was a typical example of a believer that melts the heart of God with praise, no wonder God swore to be with him for ever. God cherish praise so much. In heaven, the angels particularly the twenty four elders has no other work than to be praising Him. Ps148:2, Rev 11:16-17.
