Devotional for 9th May
TEXT:
Ps.18.2″The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower”
Fortress is large building or complex of building used as a military stronghold in the military. Fortress means a large strong building used for defense which means it will be difficult for the enemies to get inside. God is our strong fortress; He is our place of defense and divine protection. Where do you go in time of trouble? Whom do you run to for help in time of need? This morning, God wants us to go out knowing fully well that He is strong enough to be our Fortress. He can never fail. He loves you enough to send His only Son to die for you. He is the only one that can protect you from the dangers of this World. Please trust Him for your protection He is able. You must know Him because you can’t run to someone you don’t know. The first thing you need to do is to give your life to Him. Go further and let Him be your Master. Submit to His leading through the Holy Ghost. You can’t know His leading if you don’t study His Word. It means you Must read His word daily.
PRAYER POINTS
Thank God for His loving kindness and mercy over your life and your family. Lord forgive me in any way that I have trusted man as a fortress in the past. Give me the grace to trust You for my protection. Lord help Christlike family to hold unto You as a strong fortress all the days of our lives. Lord uphold Your servant Pst (Mrs.) Odunayo Omotayo Joshua Ketiku with Your right hand of righteousness and protect her and the family of all evil. Thank You for answered prayers.
