TEXT: Phil.2.12 “Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God’s saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.” (NLT)
Your obedience has much to say about you and how much you value your relationship with God. Your obedience to the Lord is the measure of your love for Him. John.14.21 Those who obey my commandments are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them, and I will love them. And I will reveal myself to each one of them.” (NLT)
Your love for God is expressed by your obedience. In response, God will also lavish on you His peculiar love that is superior to the general love “for God so Love the world”. Your obedience steps up God’s love for you. God even promised to take residence in you John.14.23 Jesus replied, “All those who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and live with them”. (NLT)
The more you obey the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, the more Jesus Christ is revealed to you. The level of your obedience is the level of Jesus you know. You cannot know Jesus above the level of your obedience. When Jesus transfigured, it was witnessed by three out of twelve. The revelation was given to John the beloved. What necessitated this selection was Obedience. Make up your mind to obey the Lord in all your ways and experience the special dimension of God in your life this month in Jesus name
PRAYER POINTS
Thank You Father that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Holy Spirit lead me into total obedience in the Will of God for my life. Lord forgive me in any way I have grieved the Holy Spirit by disobedience. Holy Spirit turn Christlike Assembly around in obedience, righteousness and godliness to the glory of God.
