TEXT: Luke.5.5 – “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net”.
In the previous devotion, we learnt that the Word of God is accessible and also powerful therefore it is worth noting that every Word of God you believe will be challenged by what you are going through so you must be courageous enough to take your stand on the Word before you can experience the fruitfulness of God’s Word. The Word of God may not make Sense and it doesn’t have to make sense because it can only be Spiritually discerned. In the above scripture contrary to reasons Peter said “nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net “The outcome for taking stand with the Word of God was a breakthrough. When Jesus our Lord was tempted by the devil to turn Stone to bread Jesus declined by standing on the authority of God’s Word ” man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”. The outcome was victory over the devil. Expect the devil to throw challenges at you against the Word of God you have believed to obey. On your own part, take side with the Word of God and experience more of God’s faithfulness this month in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS
Thank You Father that Your promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit give me the grace and understanding to stand for the Word of God no matter the threat.
Christ like ministry prospers as we take our stand on the Word against all odds. Holy Spirit uphold Your daughter Your servant to stand always by the authority of God’s Word no matter what in Jesus Christ name. Thank You Lord for answered prayers.
