17TH MARCH.
SCRIPTURE: 1corinthians1:10
“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind”.
Unity means oneness, togetherness, agreement. God affirms the power of unity in Genesis11:6. The Lord spoke of the power of the people of Babel saying “Behold, they are one people and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them” The first thing that God did upon the establishment of the early church was to give the people a united language. In Acts2:1 the bible says “the apostles were all in one accord” and because of this unity, the Holy Spirit strengthened them to speak in diverse tongues. When there is unity in the family, society and church, miracles like these happen:
1) Everything goes on perfectly. Where there is lack of unity, there will be crisis and confusion.
2) There is trust in one another. Eccl 4:12“A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and be victorious.
3) It activates the power of God to operate.
4) It will lead to greater productivity at home and in the church. Their Cord cannot easily be broken. Faster Answered Prayers is the order of the day
PRAYER POINTS
Thank God for His mercies. Ask for the spirit of oneness to accomplish more for Him in the kingdom. Let the church receive strength to walk in unity with our mama in Jesus name. Amen.
