TEXT: Exod.14.13
“But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand where you are and watch the LORD rescue you. The Egyptians that you see today will never be seen again. The LORD himself will fight for you. You won’t have to lift a finger in your defense!”
Storm in this context represents threats and challenges of life. It cannot destroy you if you are of God. God allows these storms to make us experience more of Him and to learn to completely depend on Him. The truth is that when we allow God to work things out in His own way, the problems or trouble becomes a walk over. At the end of it all, you will stand strong. In Ex 14. The children of Israel have just been delivered from a bondage of over 400 years. Pharaoh and his armies came after them, and the Red sea was before them. They could not help but think that their end had come. That is exactly how we feel when we are attacked by the devil. But trust God, the Present Help in trouble. He will show up when you least expected. He came to their rescue and utterly destroyed their enemies. God has not changed. He is set to do it again and again. Only believe and put your trust in Him. He has never lost a battle, yours will not be exceptional. Note this:
(1) when you pray don’t ever murmur or complain even when you don’t see immediate improvement after prayers. Ex 14:10-11.
(2) Don’t confess the evil that the situation is saying but rather confess what God is saying about that circumstances. Then His salvation will show up for you. Exod.14.22.
PRAYER POINTS.
Thank You Lord for Your presence with me in the storm, you are with me always. Lord, help me to focus on You and not on the circumstances I am going through. I refuse to be distracted from the promises of God as contained in His word. Let my trial turn to testimonies. Christlike Assembly is marching on. The Lord carries His servant Pastor Mrs. Odunayo Joshua Ketiku over the storms.
