YOU NEED YOUR SPOUSE

28TH MARCH.

SCRIPTURE: Amos 3:3

.“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”Marriage is a commitment between a man and a woman before God to spend a lifetime loving and serving each other for God’s glory. “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female and said for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh? So, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man put asunder” Matt 19:4-6. You need your spouse to grow and succeed in life. You therefore need to agree and give full support to your spouse. If you want your home to be heaven on earth to fulfill Gods purpose, then you need the Consciousness of today’s devotion. When one is weak spiritually, physically, financially and health wise the other will offer a helping hand to strengthen him or her. When one is down emotionally, the other will lift up with words of encouragement. Spouses are to pray for one another, be affectionate towards one another, have sympathy for one another and live together in harmony. Phil 2:2. Be considerate and treat one another with love and respect 1pet 3:7. Marriage is a team work and for it to be successful and bring intimacy, each spouse needs to play his/ her role and responsibility as stated in the scripture well so as to bring out their best. Eph 5:22 &25(wives to submit to their husbands and husbands to love their wives) This primary role will help them to survive and to have a peaceful, exciting, and fulfilling home.

PRAYER POINTS

Thank God for the life of your spouse. Pray that God will uphold you and your spouse to walk together in love and according to the purpose of God for your home. Pray against every spirit of division between you and your spouse. Pray for the church as a bride of our Lord Jesus to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing. Pray that God will not forsake our mother in the Lord and her seeds in Jesus Name.
